Adding Colors for Christmas

This year, as we planned the outdoor Christmas decorations for our townhome’s patio, we decided to mix in some red and green G50 bulbs to the warm white ones we purchased from Christmas Light Source a few years ago. The results were outstanding, exactly what we were looking for!

Installation Tips

Step 1

Prep work saves the day! Test your bulbs on the ground and install your clips ahead of time. This little extra effort makes installation on the roof smooth and hassle-free.

Step 2

Plan out your installation making note of where electrical outlets are located. Keep this in mind as you orient the nets making sure that male and female connects are "on the correct side". Plan for an extension cord to connect the nets to power.

Step 3

Customize your setup as you go! Cut cords to fit perfectly and use male and female Gilbert plugs with 18 AWG wire to create seamless jumpers between roof elevations. Pro tip: Keep each run under 250 feet of 18 AWG wire for a safe and reliable setup.

Step 4

Tie it all together! Match your roofline bulbs with the lights on your wreaths and trees for a cohesive, professional holiday display that’ll dazzle your neighbors.
